Asks Cairo Ojougboh to put his House in Order and Stop the unnecessary Blame Game
A group , simply known as "Transparent Leadership" has advised the NDDC's acting Executive Director Projects , Dr. Cairo Ojougboh to finding ways of resolving the scandals he and his colleagues brought upon themselves due to their numerous sharp practices instead of blaming the revered Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege for the cause of the crisis at the board .
In a statement, made available to xtrim news , it reads, " it's unbecoming of Cairo Ojougboh and his cohorts, to openly , without recourse , fire politically fabricated shots on a national television at the deputy senate President, who since his emergence as a senator and subsequently deputy president, has been playing the fatherly and leadership role of Delta APC well .
We advise, Cairo to retract his clearly vindictive steps and work extensively in exonerating himself and the interim board of NDDC from the damaging allegations against them instead of making derogatory remarks to hide his excesses. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is yet to publicly announce his governorship ambition, why is it already making some people tensed ? "
Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, had, on a national television blamed Ovie Omo-Agege as the root cause of the present crisis in NDDC, because his preferred candidate, one Chief Benard Okumagba was dropped for Prof. Pondei Kemebradikumo as MD.
Speaking in the same vein, African human rights activist and House of Assembly candidate of AAC at the 2019 polls, Comr. Tam Oburumu, expresses disappointment in the way NDDC is being run by obviously selfish People.
In his words, ' What's happening in NDDC today is sheer reflection of a parasitic gang of political traders who unfortunately see themselves in a gold mine rather than service.. Dr Cairo is just looking for cheap means to divert the issues on ground. How will he say ,it's Omo-Agege that's responsible for the present crisis in the board when there are clear evidences of gross financial mismanagement and mediocrity in the IMC?
I will candidly advise Cairo to clear his name and that of the IMC rather than finding ways to escape from the back door. What's happening in NDDC and the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs is a shame, an embarrassment "
Also, an aide to the Deputy Senate President who pleaded anonymity, also dismisses the statement of Dr Cairo as baseless and disappointing. He says, his boss is politically very mature and will never be involved in such petty things because of NDDC appointments when there are very serious national issues on ground.
And as a national figure and party leader, it's his responsibility, monies are spent according to the reasons they are disbursed for the Niger Delta people .
