BREAKING NEWS- NDC Returning Officer Kidnapped
The Nigerian Democratic Congress NDC primaries in Bomadi LGA, Delta State witnesses a sad development when the Returning Officer, Mr Newland Tebowei assigned to conduct the election was allegedly kidnapped close to the final announcement of the results. He was allegedly forced out of the venue close to the completion of the counting. Xtrim News coveat correspondent gathers, as at the time of the forceful removal of the retuning officer from the venue by another aspirant, Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni was already undoubtedly leading in the head count. An eye witness who pleaded anonymity also affirms the barbaric display of political thugs and urchins at the venue that purportedly leads to the unfortunate kidnap incident. Another witness alleges , the returning officer was forcefully removed from the venue and taken to the custody of one Richman Endakwe, a non state actor in the NDC with personal interest on the outcome of the primaries. When contacted by our correspondent, Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni confirms he has already won before the thugs loyal to his opponent disrupted the process, harassing voters and glarely causing public disorderliness. In his words," I won the NDC house of assembly primaries. It was a clear victory for me. This shows I am loved and respected by the good people of Bomadi constituency. At this juncture, NDC leadership should do the needful by giving me the certificate of return as the authentic flagbearer of our party. I will also urge the party leadership, particularly the state chairman, the south south chairman, the national chairman and our national leader Sen. Seriake Dickson to strictly sanction anyone involved in this shameful display of rascality and impunity in a party we're working hard to build." At press time, Xtrim News tries to contact Lawson Awipi, Richman Endakwe, the state chairman and others but couldn't get across to them.
