THE MAN JERRY AGBALAKOKO OPUOFENI A political wind is whirling in a realistic awe around Bomadi constituency, giving apprehensive approval to the constituents. The voice is gently communicating hope and positivity to everyone irrespective of social, religious and political differences. It's the voice that has lived and experienced the turmoils of the grassroots. The voice is Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni, a young man who has over the years distinguished himself as a crusader of development and good leadership. Childhood - Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni was born in the 70s to the Ijaw foremost dramatist and essayist Dr. Broderick and Mrs. Felicia Tare Upoufeni in the rural town of Esanma, Bomadi LGA, Delta State. He's the first child of his parents. As a child in the riverine area , the young Agbalakoko engaged himself in fishing, diving of clams , farming and other rural activities of that time despite studying hard in school. Education - Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni has a B.S.c in Psychology, Delta State University Abraka, BTEC-Level, Intermediate Diploma in Aviation Rescue/Oil & Gas Safety(IFTC) in 2014, Teesside UK; Charted Institute of Personnel & Development/Reward Management, London, UK in 2010. He attended Kpakiama Grammar School Kpakiama, 1995 in which he finished excellently. Work Experience,- Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni has almost spent 30 years in the Oil and Gas sector viz, Chief of Staff to former Shell, now Renaissance, Advice Company Management and interface with Host Communities both in Rivers/Imo States for SP/SI interventions via HCDT's in line with regulations(PIA/NUPRC, etc.) Activism - Comrade Agbalakoko participated in Company Unionism effectively to promote welfare of workers. He's known for his resilience, dedication and incorruptible nature during his activist days as a unionist. Oversight Functions- As a versatile workert , comrade Agbalakoko was an advisor SI/SP to Shell, now Renaissance/Community Relations Coordinator for Rivers/Imo States(almost 70 communities); Auditor Union/Community activities. Awards- The amiable Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni has series' of awards recognizing his exceptionality both as a worker and community enthusiast including the prestigious Shell Long Service Awards and Esanma Community Recognition Award. Humanitarian activities- Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni due to his unprecedented love for humanity engaged SCOAN for the rehabilitation/welfare of Ex-agitators from the Niger Delta Creeks. A feat worthy of praise by his contemporaries, elders and younger ones. Business - Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni operates one of the largest farm/ranch in Bomadi LGA that deals on cows/cattles which is in synergy with Delta State Ministry of Agriculture to training incubates via Life-ND program. Politics - Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni having experienced leadership and management of people during his time as a unionist is aspiring to represent the good people of Bomadi constituency under the platform of the newly formed Nigerian Democratic Congress ( NDC) Philanthrophy - Though, not publicized due to his humble nature, Comrade Jerry Agbalakoko Opuofeni has impacted several lives through his unlimited financial assistance to students , friends, family members etc through his honest income. Ideology - Comrade Agbalakoko believes in a life of simplicity through honest work , diligence peace and equal justice for everyone. He believes in good leadership in which the welfare of the people must be prioritized every time. Family - Comrade Agbalakoko is happily married with children.
