Sherriff Inaugurates Pius Labo

Delta State governor RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on the 30th of April, 2024 inaugurated renowned Bomadi LGA politician and businessman ,Hon. Pius labo as chairman,Delta State Arts Council alongside other members of the board.
The ceremony took place at Unity Hall, Government House , Asaba. The event was graced by his immediate family, followers , well wishes and political associates including the Economic Adviser to the governor; Hon.Barry Gbe.
Addressing supporters and journalists shortly after the inauguration, Hon.Pius Labo promised to use the opportunity given to him by the governor in dispensing transparent,innovative and all- inclusive leadership in the Council. He assured talented Deltans his receptive leadership at the board will bring a new dawn in the creative industry for every Deltan irrespective of religion, ethnicity or political affiliation.
Pius Labo acknowledged the abundant young talents , festivals and booming film industry in the state . He pledged to set an unprecedented template in the creative industry to improve on the current IGR in the state. In his words, " I am humbled to be appointed by his Excellency, RT Hon.Oborevwori Sheriff as chairman of the Delta State Arts Council. This is an appointment I will diligently use to promote our governor's M.O.R.E agenda. As a leader I will encourage team work in the board for the overall success of the council. I will work exceedingly to market Delta state's abundant talents, festivals, films ,entertainment etc to the outside world in a positive retrospect. I thank my family, followers, well wishers and political associates for creating out their precious time to celebrate with me today. God bless you all."
The Delta State Arts Council Board is made up of five members primarily to oversee activities in creative arts and writings , entertainment which includes filmmaking, music and festivals across the state .
