Mr Tam Oburumu, a renowned writer and activist has decried the bad state of the Bomadi expressway that links the East west road especially the nearly erosion damaged bridge before Bulu-Apelebri .
He said this statement on his official facebook page .
"Again, I am grievously concerned about the deplorable condition of the bridge before Bulu-Apelebiri on the Bomadi road.
The bridge is in the brink of collapsing if something urgent is not done. Erosion has eaten beneath the bridge and it's only the waned out iron brims holding it temporarily. This is danger.
This is the only road linking Bomadi LGA to other areas of Delta State with frequent and heavy vehicular traffic.
I have complained several times about the death trap but all on deaf ears . These politicians don't care about anything except stealing of public funds.
The flood season is fast approaching and innocent people including political leaders will die on that bridge soon if immediate measures are not taken by the state government.
Ignoring that Bomadi road is not only a sign of bad leadership but political witchcraft. "
Tam Oburumu blamed the bad state of the road on the political irresponsibity of the present crop of selfish leaders representating the area in the national and state assemblies.
