He is the most Selfless Activist of Modern Day Niger-Delta Struggle
The National President of Egbema Youths for Politics,Alaowei Beghin Kelvin, who is also the spokesman for Izon Arise Initiative ( IAI) has once again called on every well meaning personality of the Niger-Delta, especially the Ijaws to support the candidacy of African human rights activist, Comrade Tam Oburumu to effectively manage the office of the special adviser and coordinator of the presidential amnesty program.
Speaking on a telephone conversation with Xtrim News, Comr. Beghin Kelvin who has earlier called for the dogged and focused Comr. Tam Oburumu to head the amnesty's office, says, if Niger-Deltans are serious about this struggle for self determination, they will embrace the candidature of Comr.Tam as a blessing too dear to miss.
In his words; " Amongst the numerous candidates contending for the Post of the coordinator, Presidential amnesty program, Comr. Tam is the best. There is no sentiment about it . This is not time to parade political and educational achievements as done by many of the candidates, this is time to face reality, to parade passion and sacrifice, to let people acknowledge the dividends of our struggle. Tam Oburumu is veteran of the Kaiama Declaration, an activist who have sacrificed a lot for the survival of the Niger-Delta people.

This is not about noise making or hiding under party umbrellas, this is about the welfare of our able young men and women who fought, lost lives and properties, bodies deformed because of the bloody struggle for resource control and self determination. Tam Oburumu wants those who truly fought for the struggle to benefit from the program, their widows and wards that have been shortchanged ."
Xtrim News gathers, most of the candidates contending for the post of the amnesty program coordinator are already lobbying the presidency and other powerful personalities in the country to pave way for the silver bullet.
At press time, Comr.Tam couldn't be reached for comment but we find out through reliable sources , he had already written an application to the president, Major General Mohammadu Buhari to consider him for the hotly contested position if truly the federal government wants to clean up the grossly abused amnesty program, in response to calls from sincere quarters.
Till tomorrow, Tam still remains the choice
