Writes Governor Okowa to officially recognize the kingdom
The Movement For Government Recognition of Kerebiri Mein kingdom and it's King, (MGRKMK) has written the governor of Delta State, Sen.Ifeanyi Okowa to without any further delay recognize the kingdom by giving the constitutional staff of office to her king, HRM Godspower Oporomo.
The statement, signed by the versatile legal practitioner,Barr. Fun-Ororo Narebor, calls on the governor to disregard the frivolous and oppression induced claims of Akugbene Mein Kingdom people, who unfortunately, instead of joining the kerebiri Mein Kingdom to realize this just course have decided to play the retrogressive script of Judas Iscariot.
The group debunks the derogatory insinuations created by the Akugbene Mein Kingdom and few of their allies that kerebiri is part of them.
The statement reads; Kerebiri Mein kingdom is not and will never be part of Akugbene Mein Kingdom. Kerebiri Mein kingdom is the largest kingdom in Bomadi LGA with ten towns ( one from Patani LGA) but has suffered unjust marginalization from previous governments clearly spurred by Akugbene Mein Kingdom that has become a clog in the wheel of progress, to further strengthen their tyrannical grip over the peace loving people of kerebiri Mein Kingdom."

The statement also revealed, Akugbene Mein Kingdom was gazetted as Akugbene kingdom and not as 'Akugbene Mein kingdom'. It was only on the 23rd of August 1985, the appellation of 'Mein' was introduced into it thereby forcing other towns that have no monarchial relationship with them into the controversial kingdom."
Kerebiri Mein kingdom has since rejected this cunning, insulting and manoeuvring of ancestral background by purported territorial conquerors to mislead the general public and the government in particular.
The letter further highlighted historical truth and balances for the governor to independently make his findings and confer the staff of office to the king of kerebiri Mein Kingdom without delay .
