The traditional ruler of the kerebiri Mein Kingdom in Bomadi LGA of Delta State, HRM Pere Godspower Tam Oporomor, the Taraza 1, has reassured his commitment to working towards government recognition of the kingdom in spite of oppositions from obvious quarters.
According to the monarch, the kerebiri Mein Kingdom that cut across nine towns out of the eleven communities that made up Bomadi LGA and one in Patani LGA has come to stay .
He advised Akugbene Mein Kingdom with just two communities that has been enjoying the monopoly of the monarchial resources of Bomadi LGA to see the realty at present and embrace it .
The monarch acknowledged the fact that his people has been suffering under the guise of Akugbene Mein Kingdom for many years despite of no historical affiliation with it .
He advised detractors to steer clear of the genuine pursuit of kerebiri Mein Kingdom to achieve government recognition.
In his words , the cheerful and visionary King expresses optimism about getting the staff of office.
" We are working towards it despite swift opposition from oppressors. We are sure governor Okowa will do the needful for the people of kerebiri Mein Kingdom who massively voted for him. We don't belong to Akugbene Mein Kingdom therefore our autonomy shouldn't spur in controversy .
Whether they like it or not our great kingdom has come to stay . "
It would be recalled , the people of Akugbene Mein Kingdom which is made up of two towns have been in serious loggerhead with kerebiri Mein Kingdom since the coronation of HRM Godspower Tam Oporomor as the king of the Kingdom.
This has created unnecessary cold war between the two kingdoms for the past couple of years .
