There Are Consequences For Defaming Me-Manager
The senator representing Delta South Senatorial District , Sen.James Manager has challenged Dr. Cairo Ujugboh , the Acting Executive Director Projects(EDP) of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC) to publish proof of whether he is or was a beneficiary of NDDC contracts.
This is coming as a response to an earlier publication by Dr Cairo, alleging James Manager as one of the beneficiaries of uncompleted or abandoned NDDC contracts .
On his Facebook account, Manager warns Dr Cairo and others to be wary of what the say because there are consequences for anyone trying to defame his personality.
He ( James Manager ) says, he or any of his companies has never benefited from any NDDC contracts since he left the oversight function of Chairman, Senate Committee on NDDC in 2015.
Part of the statement reads ".. I do not know of any company owned by me,that has ever gone into bidding of government jobs anywhere in the world (This may come to many as a surprise but that's the gospel truth)....That those who are alleging to defame me must be aware of the consequences....That in the interest of the gullible innocent public , the authors led by the said Dr.Cairo Ujugboh or any other person should provide among other things the following;
1- Detailed description of the said jobs .
2-Name of the companies.
3-Payments already made and to whom.
4-Job performance
5-The Directors as they appear in the Co-operate Affairs Commission ( CAC). "
At press time , Xtrim News gathers there is already a viral outpour of comments on social media from various divides in the issue.
It will be recalled, Goodswill Akpabio, the estranged Minister for Niger Delta Affairs has submitted a letter with annexures to the House of Representatives, ordering him to produce the list of lawmakers who are beneficiaries of NDDC jobs as alleged within 48 hours .
Xtrim News finds out,the letter that the House of Representatives Speaker Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila read was with annexures listing the legislators that have been benefiting from the controversial NDDC contracts.For obvious reasons, the Speaker was silent on the list until the letter and the annexures were leaked to the press.
